Stratis Health is pleased to announce its continued partnership with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) in advancing the American Indian/Alaska Native (AIAN) Quality Improvement (QI) Program. The CMS AIAN QI Program promotes optimal health and well-being through improved quality of care for AIAN people served through Medicare. This newly awarded contract builds upon previous CMS-funded work with two dozen Indian Health Service (IHS) hospitals and will now support health care providers in 261 facilities within IHS, tribally managed health care facilities, Urban Indian Organizations (UIOs), and CMS-designated nursing homes across the nation.
Stratis Health will co-lead this important initiative alongside key CMS Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) collaborators — Comagine Health, Mountain-Pacific Quality Health, and Telligen. Additional expertise will be provided by Health Services Advisory Group, Quality Health Associates of North Dakota, and the South Dakota Foundation for Medical Care. This team will deliver relevant and responsive health care quality improvement services integrated with Indigenous values and practices through the CMS AIAN QI program. This approach combines national leadership with community-based support for health care providers in meeting the unique needs of the AIAN people.
