Opioid Use Disorder Bootcamp Series for Minnesota County Jails
May 7, July 14, and August 19, 2026
Park Event Center, Waite Park, Minnesota
10 a.m.–3:30 p.m., Networking: 3:30–4 p.m.
This no-cost, three‑part cohort training experience is designed to elevate Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) program planning, strengthen on‑the‑ground implementation, and expand recovery support inside jails by empowering correctional staff and improving outcomes for justice‑involved individuals.
NOTE: The series is open only to Minnesota county sheriffs, jail administrators, correctional leaders, and jail medical staff.
Participants will:
- Deepen their understanding of medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD) treatment.
- Explore the value of peer recovery services in correctional settings.
- Discuss how these approaches work together to reduce jail costs, improve efficiency and resource allocation, and support justice-involved individuals across the care continuum.
- Review practical strategies for planning and implementing correctional MOUD and peer recovery services.
Because topics are presented sequentially to provide a progressive, step-by-step implementation guide, we ask that jails participate in all three sessions.
