In September 2019, Stratis Health selected eight experienced critical access hospital (CAH) staff to serve as national Virtual Quality Improvement (QI) Mentors through a new program that aims to broadly transfer knowledge from leading CAH quality improvement staff to others across the country.
As part of this program, the QI mentors come together periodically to share “PIE”—their performance improvement experience. In these recorded conversations, they discuss key topics that help drive quality improvement in their rural hospitals.
We are pleased to announce the first installment of Quality Time: Sharing PIE (performance improvement experience) is online and ready for listening! CAH quality improvement staff and others can hear mentors’ lessons learned, strategies, tips, and ideas. Included with each episode are supportive resources for each topic, along with mentors’ favorite real pie recipes.
Stratis Health will be releasing Quality Time: Sharing PIE conversations quarterly on our QI Mentor webpage. Listeners can also subscribe to the podcast version through their favorite streaming service.
The National Rural Virtual Quality Improvement Mentor program is led by Stratis Health. Contact Sarah Brinkman for more information.
The National Virtual Quality Improvement Mentor program is organized through Rural Quality Improvement Technical Assistance (RQITA), a program of Stratis Health supported by the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy (FORHP).
