The Board of Directors of Stratis Health announced the appointment of Gladys Chuy and Karon Phillips as new members, effective January 1, 2025.

Gladys Chuy, MHA, is Director of Population Health and Clinical Quality for Convergence Integrated Care (CIC). The organization is a Minnesota statewide clinically integrated network of 21 independent nonprofit community behavioral health agencies. She brings over 20 years of health care experience, including project management, program implementation, quality improvement, and LEAN methodologies. She has previously been in leadership positions for Cleveland Clinic, IBM, and Baptist Health. Chuy is committed to supporting diverse and underserved communities through system-level changes. She describes herself as compassionate and can engage people, promote internal strategies, and collaborate to best achieve organizational goals through effective change management practices.

Karon Phillips, PhD, MPH, MS, CHES, CAPS, FGSA, is the Policy Development Manager for Trust for America’s Health in Washington, DC. In this role, she works with the Policy Development team on the national age-friendly public health systems initiative. She also brings experience leading the implementation of programs and services focused on health promotion, including chronic disease self-management and falls prevention, and developing new partnerships to provide community-based services for older adults. Dr. Phillips is an active member of the Gerontological Society of America (GSA) and the American Public Health Association and is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland Baltimore County.

The Stratis Health Board of Directors includes a diverse representation of physician and nurse leadership, health system and health plan leadership, public health, business sector expertise, academics and research, and consumers. The new board members will serve three-year terms of service effective January 1, 2025 – December 31, 2027
