Abigail Greenheck serves as group senior vice president of Beehive Strategic Communication. In this capacity, she supports strategic communication initiatives, including internal communication and employee engagement programs within the health care industry. Moreover, she partners with clients to develop context-specific and multi-channel strategies for engaging key audiences, including underrepresented populations. As a staunch advocate for all patients, Greenheck intentionally supports safety in health care practices. She will serve as a crossover member from the Minnesota Alliance for Patient Safety (MAPS) board to Stratis Health and will be vital in engaging partners, patients, and families.
Jesse Bethke Gomez, MMA, has been recognized as one of Minnesota’s 100 Most Influential Leaders in Healthcare. He is currently the president and chief executive officer of the Metropolitan Center for Independent Living. As a thought leader on complex policy issues, he drives societal progress by ensuring that large corporations in healthcare, behavioral health, public health, and community-based services can deliver exceptional quality care to vulnerable populations. In addition, the Minnesota Supreme Court recently appointed Bethke Gomez for an eight-year term on the state’s Judicial Selection Commission. Moreover, Bethke Gomez’s unique professional insights will play a crucial role in Stratis Health’s ability to reach vulnerable and underserved populations.
Peter Hayden, PhD, is the recipient of the General Mills Foundation Martin Luther King Jr. “Legends” award. He is the founder and president of Turning Point, Inc., a Minneapolis-based nonprofit agency devoted to integrated holistic health services programs. Under his leadership, Turning Point has become known for not only culturally specific chemical dependency treatment services, but also housing and a spectrum of supportive services as well as a culturally based training program. Hayden is also Chair of the National Black Alcoholism and Addictions Council (NBAC), where he has strongly influenced the design of effective long-term community health programming. Hayden is a nationally and internationally known speaker and trainer on several health topics. Dr. Hayden will serve as one of two consumer members of the Stratis Health board and will be an enormous asset to Stratis Health’s work to address substance use disorders.
The Stratis Health Board of Directors includes a diverse representation of physician and nurse leadership, health system and health plan leadership, business sector expertise, academics and research, and consumers. The new board members will serve three-year terms of service effective January 1, 2023 – December 31, 2025.
