Testimonials
Dr. Antony Stately, Executive Officer at the Native American Community Clinic (NACC), offers his perspective on Stratis Health’s partnership:
“We host Midwest Tribal Extension for Community Health Outcomes (ECHO) to provide peer-to-peer learning sessions among service providers who work under the umbrella of harm reduction in indigenous communities, which has been supported by Stratis since 2022. In addition to providing the necessary funding needed to operate a project of this scale, their team supports us in expanding our reach to healthcare professionals working in Minnesota’s rural and tribal communities. Their expertise on the opioid epidemic and consistent collaboration with our team has improved our ability to carry out the objectives of our ECHO and the clinic’s overall mission to promote health & wellness of mind, body, and spirit in Native American families.”
The Mille Lacs County Sherriff’s Office described their situation and the assistance which Stratis Health provided:
“We are a 148-bed facility serving 26,000 rural central Minnesota residents along with the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe. To say that our area has a drug problem is an understatement. We continue to fight the battle that many rural counties face when it comes to drug use. Our focus as a facility is bettering and furthering resources to rural Minnesota. Our jail population struggles with many of the resources and available options that metro areas have. We have limited transportation, which is one of the major reasons our population struggles with meeting most of the demands of the courts, probation and even their own medical needs. Our partnership with Stratis Health can bridge that gap where we can start more effectively addressing addiction in the facility and give our population a community-based resource that is in our area. We want to ensure that we are not just a “holding facility” but truly a place where we are making a difference in our community by addressing many needs while incarcerated and making sure our population is set up for success when they walk out the door.”
The Dakota County Sherriff’s Office shared these statements about working with Stratis Health:
“Stratis Health has kept us up to date on all new findings and education. They are readily available, via phone, to answer any questions in an emergent or non-emergent situation. They have provided us with education that is easily interpreted by anyone and therefore very helpful to pass on to patients. Monthly meetings to touch base on any new issues or questions were conducted and very helpful. Stratis Health’s expertise and guidance aided our team in expanding and improving MOUD services to justice-involved individuals. I’m grateful for their evidence-based and person centered approach to care.”
